Shane Markley is a cybersecurity professional with over 19 years of experience specializing in cybersecurity program development, strategic security planning, threat intelligence, training/mentorship, and GRC. He has worked in several different industries including Utilities, Healthcare, Higher Education, Hospitality, and Entertainment.
Shane is currently a Systems Engineer with Palo Alto Networks and a Senior Technical Consultant for Cybrary. Prior to coming to Palo Alto Networks, Shane previously helped lead the Verizon Global Security Services Threat Intelligence initiative. He also ran a Cybersecurity Operations Team for a Utility company in Las Vegas where his team managed all aspects of Monitoring, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Data Loss Prevention, and Vulnerability Assessment. During his time running this team, he was a speaker for several different engagements including topics such as Supply Chain Risk Management and Industrial Control System (ICS) Security and Recon.
